3.3 Looking Backward, An Eonic Model

We can see that there aren't any social theories after the fashion of
physical laws, and therefore it is helpful to dispense with the pretense and
replace them with 'evolutionary maps' related to their historical chronicles.
This hybrid of dynamics and action descriptions is so built in the eonic model
that deterministic fallacies applied to the future disappear. There may be
general predictions we can still make on other grounds, but the point is that
free optionality is built in. The model is thus designed so that dynamical
statements refer to the past, as the model switches off in the present leaving
free action in its wake.
