We should conclude by noting that our new framework immediately rescues
the basis of ethical action from its cancellation in the pseudo-theories of
biological Darwinism and the various attempts at sociology (often quite aware of
these issues, we should note) that have emerged in an age of scientism. The
basis of action is not voided by reductionist claims on causality, since the
'evolutionary matrix' is both composed of and realizes implicit ethical
issues.
